Halloween 2015

We have not made a lot of progress on Alice lately because… life. Life is busy. We do 95% of Alice renovations over the weekends and the past 4 weekends have been booked full.

Patrick had a birthday party.

We went to North Dakota to visit family.

I hosted my best friends from college for our semi-annual “Girls’ Weekend” and suffered a pretty extreme cheese hangover. In our 20s my friends and I suffered from booze hang overs. Now that we are in our 30s we wake up with cheese hangovers.

And then this past Saturday was Halloween.

We spent Sunday catching up and made a lot of progress. It was a great reminder that even if we only have a few hours, if we buckle down and work hard for those few hours – a lot can get done. I have posted briefly about what we have been working on Sunday and I will post more info about all that we have accomplished later this week. Today though, I wanted to share photos from Halloween.

Michael chose to be a Dementor from Harry Potter.

It was a fun day.

I still have no idea what a Rainbow Bird is but Elise was happy with the costume I made, so I am going to call it a win.

It has been a month of family celebrations, obligations, relaxation and more celebrations. Now that it is November, it is time to get back to work on Alice. We have until the freezing temps set in to finish water proofing Alice. Time to take off costumes and get back to work. But before we I start working on the next post about our first round of water testing I have one more slightly blurry family photo to share. It is rare that we are all in a photo together so even though it is out of focus, I love it.

Here we are as Rainbow Bird, Jack the Pumpkin King, Dementor, and Spicy Chicken.
